  2. I have an understanding that inclusive climate is when children with a disability are placed in a classroom with other children within their own ra range some of these children may have an IFSP or IEP and some of the disabilities may include speech delay, Autism, hearing impairment, development delay. There's a team of support services that get together to meet child's goals on IEPs and they receive more resources from the district according to their needs on the IEP some of the resources may include ocupa tio therapy, physical activity, speech therapy etc.

  4. Decorating the classroom some kind of warmth and help promote a sense of comfort and security to children with special needs and disabilities. It is important that teachers take note of some colors in the classroom.

  7. As an early childhood educator who serves children with exceptional needs, my thoughts on what an inclusive climate is, that it is one that supports a child's special need in a way that developmentally appropriate. An exclusive climate must accommodate the child's needs as well as promote awareness and acceptance. The climate will include individualization to meet the child's skill and ability as well as providing a curriculum that is flexible and assess children's progress. An inclusive environment also provides a learning and play environment that is challenging and promotes independence. And finally it is a climate that collaborates with the family, and team members such as paraprofessionals to document progress and work towards the child's cognitive, social, emotional, academic and mobility goals.

  9. Hello

Inclusive climate means to me is that we have to make sure we can meet the child needs. We have to make sure that if it doesn't meet their needs we have to adjust anything we can. As well the children are a whole and respect each other. I also think that we should treat every child equally.
